Remembering Bill Bird

Celebrating the life of Mr. William "Bill" Bird.
Today, Western Christian High School remembers and honors the life of William “Bill” Bird, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 12, 2025.

Mr. Bird served as Western’s beloved vocal music teacher from 1969 to 1991, shaping the lives of countless students with his passion for music and his unwavering belief that “everyone can sing.” He was known for his creativity, energy, and ability to bring out the best in his students—both musically and personally. His choirs, especially their renditions of “Tell It Like It Is,” remain a treasured memory for many.

Beyond his immense musical gifts, Mr. Bird radiated joy, encouragement, and a genuine sense of intentionality. He had a way of making each person he encountered feel seen, valued, and inspired. His legacy extends far beyond the choir room—his impact is carried in the hearts of those he taught, mentored, and uplifted. We celebrate his life and the foundation of faith he stood upon.
