Investing in your Child's Future

Western Christian High School is dedicated to providing excellent Christian education in an environment that fosters deepening students’ faith and their personal relationship with Christ across all socioeconomic backgrounds. At Western Christian, we understand the financial sacrifice of tuition, which is a considerable investment into your child’s future. Therefore, Western Christian is committed to allocating the appropriate resources wisely and raising additional funds to ensure our ability as a facility to fulfill our mission while meeting the ever changing needs of the school.

Education Savings Accounts (ESA)

Each student attending Western Christian High School in the 2025-2026 school year from Iowa will be eligible for an Education Savings Account (ESA) of approximately $8,000 per student. Families must apply each year for the ESA. Applications are due June 30, 2025, for the upcoming school year.

Financial Assistance

At Western Christian High School, we are humbled and grateful that each family who chooses a Western Christian education has access to various forms of financial assistance. We believe this variety of financial assistance ensures accessibility to every mission-aligned family who desires an education at Western Christian High School.

NICSTO (Northwest Iowa Christian Schools Tuition Organization)
The State of Iowa sets eligibility guidelines for NICSTO Scholarships. Students who are receiving an ESA can still receive funds from NICSTO. 70% of Western Christian students qualify for NICSTO scholarships. Thanks to extremely generous giving, Western Christian has over $260,000 available to assist qualifying families.

TAP Scholarships (Tuition Assistance Program)
There are numerous need-based scholarships offered directly through Western Christian High School each year.

Additional savings and financial assistance options include utilizing Iowa 529 Accounts, the Iowa Tuition and Textbook Credit, and SCRIP/TRIP programs run by area grade schools.

We also offer Hot Lunch Assistance! Please reach out to our Business Manager or CFO for more information.

Covenant Partnership

Western Christian High School has been blessed with a long tradition of church support for the students who attend our school. 75% of Western Christian students' families attend churches directly supporting individual student tuition! We can share story after story of how God has used this opportunity to make Christian education more accessible to families who support our missions and desire Christ-centered education.

We believe the name Covenant Partnership reflects the historic covenantal relationships between church, family, and school. The name also goes beyond financial assessment and reiterates our commitment to supporting one another.

Here's how it worksThe church decides how much it will give to the Covenant Partnership per student. Western Christian requests a minimum of $1,800/student, up to a maximum of $3,200/student. We suggest a range, as each church has varying financial priorities.
