LUNCH: Cheese & Dried Beef or Ham, Sunchips, Fruit Salad & Candied Carrots.
GENERAL:
- Thank you for your outstanding cooperation in adapting to the new "no smartphone policy" as we started this year! We’re going to take it one step further: Please remember to turn off your phones before putting them in the slots when you arrive at school—our front office staff can only handle so many buzzing distractions before they lose it! Let’s keep their sanity intact.
ACADEMIC REGISTRAR:
- Juniors and Seniors, the pass/fail deadline is Monday, October 7. Contact Mrs. de Boom with any questions and if you are interested in this option. You must be taking 7 or 8 Western classes to qualify for the option.
ATHLETICS:
- JVR and JV football are at Sergeant Bluff Luton with the JVR game starting at 5:00. Please dismiss all players from 8th period, bus leaves at 3:00 PM.
- We host a JVR/JV volleyball triangular vs West Lyon and Trinity. Please have both east locker rooms cleared out at the end of the day.
- The boys' underclassmen locker room is getting very messy, with things left on the ground and our custodial staff unable to clean the floors. If this continues, we will lock the lowerclassman's locker rooms, and everyone will share the upperclassmen's locker room.

Founded in 1919, Western Academy began as a four-year academic community accommodating grades 9-12. Renamed in the 1930s to Western Christian High School, the mission and values remain the same.
