WISHING A HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY TO…6/14 - Isabel Dorhout, Mya Sybesma, Thijs van Niehenjuis; 6/15 - Makenna Fedders, Mark Leusink; 6/16 - Olivia Ten Napel!
GENERAL:
-A beautiful Thank-You card has been created by Western senior Hannah Mulder. This card will be delivered to Unity Christian, thanking them for hosting us for a Christmas Praise Chapel. To make it even more personal, we would like to encourage Western students to sign the card. For the next couple days, it will be in the student lounge near the ping pong tables or by Solid Grounds. Please take a moment to sign your name.
- The thank-yous for our Christmas cards keep rolling in. This is from a RV family: Today in my mail slot, I had two Christmas cards from WCHS students. They both contained a handwritten message to my wife and me, along with a handwritten scripture. 1 Corinthians 10:31 and Romans 15:13. Very, very touching and they actually brought tears to my eyes.
- Dordt’s Men’s Volleyball League is new and coming up very quickly with their first league night happening next week (Dec 16). This “Men’s League” is also for High School aged boys in grades 9-12. Their aim is to grow the boys volleyball opportunities in the local area. If you’d like to register a team and reserve your spot, please complete this form and send to any potential teammates you might have:

AG/FFA:
- FFA Christmas activity will be held in the Ag Room during both morning and afternoon break ON MONDAY! Please stop buy to decorate your christmas ornament and receive your treat!
SPEECH:
- If you are interested in doing Individual Speech, please attend a meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 18 in room 209 at 3:40-4:00. At this meeting you will learn about the different categories you can participate in, and you will have the opportunity to inform the coaches of your category interests.
- All individual speech participants will be required to attend meetings every Wednesday after school starting in January.

ATHLETICS:
- We host boys JV and Varsity boys basketball tonight vs Heritage Christian. The JV game starts at 4:00 with the varsity game to follow at 5:30. Please have the east boys locker room cleared out at the end of the day.
Founded in 1919, Western Academy began as a four-year academic community accommodating grades 9-12. Renamed in the 1930s to Western Christian High School, the mission and values remain the same.
