I graduated from South O'Brien High School and from Northwestern College, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and Writing and Rhetoric (English).  I enjoyed studying in Spain as part of my Bachelor's degree program and again later as part of a Master's program.  I enjoy sharing those experiences with anyone interested in Spanish.

I live in Sheldon with my daughter, Daniela.  Daniela is attending 3rd grade at Sheldon Christian.  We attend Bethel Reformed Church in Sheldon, where I am a part of a monthly praise and worship team.

Before joining Western Christian, I worked at Village Northwest Unlimited for 8 years as a Community Skills Trainer, assisting people with intellectual disabilities.  I remain a substitute there.  I learned many things about learning styles and memory retention while working there.  I was also a part-time interpreter at Sanford in Sheldon for 3 years.  I enjoyed learning more about Hispanics through this position.  I also expanded my Spanish vocabulary with a lot of medical terminology.  I have also used my Spanish degree in a human resources department and as a supervisor at a food production facility.

Daniela and I enjoy reading together; so much so, that we have a Little Free Library in front of our house.  We find it enjoyable to see what new books come in as patrons borrow and return books.

I am excited to share my passion of Spanish and Christ with the students of WCHS.
